Position Overview
We're hiring a Move smart contract engineer to design, build, and ship the on-chain core of our DeFi protocols on Movement. You'll write the contracts that hold and move real value, so correctness and security aren't features of this job — they are the job.
This is a hands-on, pure smart-contract role. You'll own our Move codebase end-to-end: architecting modules, writing rigorous tests, formally verifying critical logic, preparing for and responding to audits, and deploying to mainnet. You'll work closely with our off-chain and product teams, but on-chain quality and security are yours to own.

What you'll do
- Design and ship Move contracts — Architect, write, and deploy Move modules for our DeFi protocols on Movement (Aptos-compatible MoveVM), from design through mainnet.
- Own contract security — Treat every module as if it will be attacked, because it will. Write exhaustive unit and integration tests, apply formal verification (Move Prover) to critical logic, and reason systematically about exploit classes: access-control flaws, arithmetic/overflow issues, oracle manipulation, economic/flash-loan attacks, and unsafe upgrade paths.
- Build DeFi primitives — Implement and integrate the on-chain building blocks of our protocols (e.g. AMMs, lending/borrowing, staking, tokenization, oracles) with correct accounting and predictable behavior under load.
- Prepare for and respond to audits — Produce clean, well-documented, auditable code; drive the audit process; and turn findings into fixes and better standards.
- Deploy and monitor — Manage deployments and upgrades across testnet and mainnet, and keep a close eye on live contract behavior.
- Set the on-chain quality bar — Define our testing, verification, and secure-coding standards for Move, since this is a foundational engineering hire.
What we're looking for
- 2–4 years of smart-contract / blockchain engineering, with hands-on production experience writing Move.
- Deep Move fundamentals on the Aptos-family dialect (Movement / Aptos) — the resource model, abilities, modules, and the framework — enough to design non-trivial protocols, not just modify existing code.
- Shipped contracts that handle real value on mainnet (Movement, Aptos, or Sui) — not testnet-only experiments.
- Strong DeFi fundamentals — you understand how AMMs, lending, staking, oracles, and tokenized assets actually work, and where they break.
- Security-first mindset — thorough testing, awareness of common exploit classes, and the discipline to write code that's meant to be audited.
- Comfortable with Move's testing tooling, and able to write clear, comprehensive test suites.
- Rust proficiency or a strong systems background — a real accelerator for Move and its tooling, though not a substitute for Move-specific experience.
- Strong written communication — your specs, test plans, and audit-facing docs are relied on by others.
- Comfortable with Git and a modern engineering workflow.
- Nice to have: formal verification with the Move Prover; Movement-specific mainnet deployments; Sui Move experience; Solidity / EVM background; payments, stablecoin, or RWA experience; open-source contributions to Move / Aptos / Sui; audit experience.
