Zoth Becomes the First Neobank to Bring Tokenized Stocks Onchain with zVaults, Opening US Equity Markets to the Global South
Zoth's vault will turn a single stablecoin deposit into diversified ownership of Coinbase tokenized US stocks on Base, with no US bank account or broker required.
For most of the world, owning a share of a US company has meant a US bank account, a US broker, and minimums few could ever clear. An entire generation of savers has watched the companies shaping the global economy from the outside.
Zoth today announced it will close that gap. The company is building a vault, powered by its zVaults infrastructure, that will convert a single stablecoin deposit into a diversified basket of Coinbase Tokenized Stocks for eligible users outside the United States. It is intended to be the first offering of its kind from a neobank.
Coinbase Tokenized Stocks bring individual US company shares onchain as real ADGM securities, each fully backed by the underlying shares held in trust by a regulated custodian and represented by a B20 token on Base.
Base provides that infrastructure. Zoth carries those shares the last mile.
Users will fund the vault with stablecoins, the asset they already hold, with no US bank account or brokerage relationship required. A single deposit will spread across a diversified basket, rather than asking a first-time investor to select and size individual tickers. And the vault will sit inside a platform those users already use for payments and yield, with onboarding and compliance built for their markets.
The basket will launch with Apple, Alphabet, Meta and NVIDIA, and will grow as Coinbase brings more stocks onchain. Holdings will sit in the user's own wallet, and they will have a beneficial interest in the underlying share with dividends and corporate actions reflected onchain.
For Zoth, tokenized equity completes a stack that already carries stablecoin payments and onchain yield for the same markets. A user who receives income in stablecoins, holds a balance, and earns on it will be able to own US equity from the same balance, without leaving the platform or opening an account anywhere else.
"Access to the US equity market has been decided by geography for too long," said Pritam Dutta, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Zoth." With Coinbase, Zoth turns a stablecoin balance into ownership of the companies shaping the global economy, for the markets that have been left out of them."
The vault will be available only to eligible users outside the United States and other restricted jurisdictions. Availability, the stock lineup, and timing remain subject to regulatory approval.
